Can I use hair regrowth medication for the rest of my life?

Please suggest if Fincover 1mg is safe for lifelong use. i have read that it’s side-effect is major, but is 1mg safe? If it is not advisable could you give me me alternative herbal medicines for regrowth of hair?

Fincover is a common medication prescribed by doctors for the regrowth of hair. While using 1mg of Fincover is safe for lifelong use, there is a small risk of side effects (sexual problems). Hence its important to get detailed counselling and a prescription from your doctor before you start using it. Side effects of this medication is seen in about 2 percent of the population and they are usually temporary, lasting until the medication is being used. There are many ways to minimize that risk as well, but for that you must see a good, well experienced hair transplantation surgeon.

Most importantly fincover is not to be used by women in the child bearing age, as complications and side effects are severe, and must be prescribed by a qualified Doctor/Surgeon.

As an allopathic doctor myself I cannot recommend any natural solutions for hair growth. These medicines are usually prescribed by practitioners of Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Chinese medicine and unfortunately there is no documented proof of their efficacy or kind of side-effects these medicines might have.
