To perform the scan a particular type of photography called Kirlian photography is used. The technique is a collection of photographic techniques used to capture the phenomenon of electrical coronal discharges. This is basically a method that creates contact print photographs using high voltages and does not require the use of a camera. It gives the practitioner a clear picture of the surroundings which helps trace the presence of various energy levels within the house. After adopting a few remedial steps the aura of the house can be purified and modified to benefit the inhabitants of the house. Aura scanning can interpret the internal state of a particular human being and can even alter certain areas to allow a beneficial flow of energy into the house. It has already been proved by scientists that the working of the whole universe depends on the exchange of energy. An aura is created by the energy we receive from atmosphere in the form of solar energy, cosmic energy, lunar energy, thermal energy, magnetic energy, light energy or wind energy. Aura scanning primarily depends on the amount of sunlight and wind entering the house, along with the aura of the people living in house. In the process of aura scanning, Kirlian photography is the first step. The pictures that are generated show a spectrum of various colors, and these colors help pinpoint the exact location of the negative and positive areas of the house. Each color band depicts different vibration frequencies of that person. For example – violet shows immense progress in the spiritual field, intuitive abilities and connection with the divine, whereas, red color shows power, money, physical well-being etc. If the environment depicts negativity then it leaves a discolored patch in the aura.

If a plot has much more energy than required, such a plot is not fit for residential purposes. Practitioners believe that even vegetation cannot develop in such a place. Another phenomenon is when a plot has what is called a ‘surgical defect’. This means that the area either has skeletons or something of that nature buried in it.
